01 Our story · Why Maisie changed everything

We have been through it

The worry is real. So is the need for clarity.

A diabetes diagnosis can make an ordinary day feel suddenly high stakes.

We know the knot in your stomach before a reading. The fear that somebody may have already given the insulin. The photographs, messages and spreadsheet cells you check again because getting it wrong does not feel like an option.

The feline diabetes community on Facebook was incredible when we needed reassurance and practical experience. Their generosity helped us breathe again. SugarPaws grew from that journey: not as treatment advice, but as a dependable shared picture of what actually happened.

A few things worth knowing.

Is SugarPaws medical advice?

No. It records and displays information entered by carers. It does not calculate or recommend insulin doses and does not replace veterinary advice.

Can more than one person use the same record?

Yes. You can invite trusted carers and give them an appropriate role. Entries show who recorded them and when.

Does my vet need an account?

No. You can create a secure read-only link, select the dates and event types to include, set an expiry and revoke it whenever you choose.

Is the founding price a subscription?

Yes. After your seven-day free trial, founding membership is £39 a year including VAT — equivalent to £3.25 a month, billed annually — and renews annually until cancelled. Founding households keep that price while their membership remains continuously active. The standard annual price after the first 100 households is £59 including VAT, equivalent to £4.92 a month when billed annually.

Does SugarPaws offer discount codes?

From time to time, SugarPaws may offer discount or promo codes and special community rates through selected feline diabetes support groups and launch campaigns. Any active offer, eligibility and expiry will be stated wherever the code is shared.

Is it only for cats?

Maisie and the feline-diabetes workflow inspired the product, but the core record supports both cats and dogs living with diabetes.
